Water Sprite or Ceratopteris thalictroides is part of the water fern family. They are native to marshy tropical regions throughout the world.

Ceratopteris thalictroides is an aquatic fern that is adored because of its delicate lace-like leaves and low maintenance. This plant can be planted directly into the substrate, left floating at the top of the water, and even grown above water in a high humidity environment. It can be easily propagated by stem cuttings.

In the aquarium, Water Sprite, it is an easy to care for plant that requires low to medium light, and low fertilization or CO2 supplementation for best and bright coloration. Ceratopteris thalictroides is ideal for low maintenance aquariums and anyone that are new to the hobby!
